HANOI, March 17 (Xinhua) -- The results of Vietnam's elections for deputies to the 16th National Assembly (NA) and members of People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term are expected to be announced on March 22, Vietnam Television reported Tuesday, citing NA Chairman Tran Thanh Man.
Preliminary statistics show that voter turnout nationwide reached 99.69 percent, with no need for re-voting in any constituency, he said.
Localities are continuing to compile and carefully review data before reporting the results to the National Election Council, according to the chairman.
The council is scheduled to convene on March 22 to review the results, after which it will announce the official results and proceed with subsequent procedures, including verification and certification of the eligibility of elected deputies, he said. ■
