KABUL, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Two drivers were killed due to a head-on collision in northern Afghanistan's Balkh province on Thursday, a statement of the provincial police office said.
The deadly mishap occurred on the road linking the provincial capital Mazar-i-Sharif to the border town Hairatan early morning after two vehicles collided, the statement said.
According to the police, the accident was caused by reckless driving.
A couple of days ago, four travelers were killed and nine others injured due to two road accidents in the neighboring Jawzjan province. ■
