HONG KONG, March 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted 17 km W of Hihifo, Tonga at 09:28:24 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 116.6 km, was initially determined to be at 15.93 degrees south latitude and 173.96 degrees west longitude. ■
