DUBAI, March 7 (Xinhua) -- Dubai-based carrier Emirates said on Saturday it has resumed flight operations at Dubai International Airport after a temporary suspension earlier in the day due to safety concerns.
Passengers with confirmed bookings for Saturday afternoon flights were advised to proceed to the airport, including those transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flights are operating.
Operations at Dubai International Airport in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) had been briefly suspended earlier to ensure the safety of passengers, employees and airline crews.
Residents in Dubai and Abu Dhabi received emergency mobile phone alerts on Saturday morning warning of potential missile threats amid ongoing regional hostilities.
Emirates said it will continue to monitor the situation and adjust its flight schedule as needed, stressing that the safety of passengers and crew remains its top priority. ■
