RIO DE JANEIRO, March 5 (Xinhua) -- Botafogo has reached an agreement to secure Venezuela international defender Nahuel Ferraresi on loan, according to widespread media reports in Brazil.
The deal will tie the 27-year-old to the Rio de Janeiro club until December and includes a buy option, Globo Esporte reported on Thursday.
It said Ferraresi would undergo a medical in the coming days before signing a contract with performance-based incentives.
Ferraresi has made 89 appearances across all competitions for Sao Paulo following his 2024 move from Manchester City.
He has been capped 42 times for Venezuela since his international debut in 2018. ■
