DAR ES SALAAM, March 6 (Xinhua) -- Air Tanzania, the national carrier of Tanzania, said on Friday it will operate a special repatriation flight between Dar es Salaam and Dubai on March 8 to assist passengers affected by the recent suspension of scheduled services on the route.
In a public notice, the airline said the flight is intended to facilitate the travel of passengers whose plans were disrupted after regular commercial flights were halted.
The airline said that the service is strictly a repatriation operation rather than a normal scheduled commercial flight, adding that priority will be given to passengers holding valid tickets for the previously affected route between Dar es Salaam and Dubai.
Passengers are advised to contact Air Tanzania offices in both cities for guidance and confirmation before departure.
Air travel across parts of the Middle East has recently faced disruptions due to airspace restrictions and security concerns in the region. ■
