BEIJING, March 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted 219 km ESE of Attu Station, Alaska at 1754 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 42 km, was initially determined to be at 52 degrees north latitude and 176.1 degrees east longitude.
