JERUSALEM, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Missiles and rockets fired from Iran and Lebanon struck central and northern Israel on Tuesday, Israeli authorities said, injuring one person and setting off air raid sirens in major cities.
Warning sirens sounded in areas including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem around midday, sending millions of residents to bomb shelters.
In the Upper Galilee region near the Lebanese border, rockets fired by Hezbollah hit a residential house, causing significant damage. The rescue service said a 64-year-old man sustained light injuries and needed treatment. ■
