LONDON, March 3 (Xinhua) -- A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in the Alum Rock area of Birmingham and is currently in police custody, according to the West Midlands Police.
The police were called to Bridge Road shortly after 12 p.m. following reports that another man had been seriously injured. A woman also sustained injuries not believed to be life-threatening or changing.
A nursery nearby was locked down after witnesses saw a man stabbing another man in the street. Ambulance crews arrived to find a man with serious injuries and administered advanced life support on scene, and the woman was treated for less serious injuries, Sky News reported.
"We are reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to a number of people in the area. But would appeal to anyone who has any information to get in touch," said the police. ■
