BEIJING, March 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.1 jolted South Sandwich Islands Region at 1941 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 106.1 km, was initially determined to be at 56.07 degrees south latitude and 27.87 degrees west longitude. ■
