RIO DE JANEIRO, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Belgrano climbed to the top of Group B with a 3-1 home win over Atletico Tucuman in Argentina's Apertura tournament on Tuesday.
Emiliano Rigoni opened the scoring by pouncing on a loose ball and rifling a left-footed shot past goalkeeper Luis Ingolotti.
Nicolas Fernandez doubled the advantage when he latched onto Lucas Zelarayan's pass and smashed a first-time effort into the top-left corner.
Belgrano made it 3-0 courtesy of Julian Mavilla, who completed a swift counterattack with a clinical finish from 15 yards.
The visitors pulled a goal back through Martin Benitez's 89th-minute penalty after Gabriel Abeldano was brought down by Thiago Cardozo.
