ISLAMABAD, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- Four terrorists were killed and three soldiers injured in an exchange of fire in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, official sources said.
The incident occurred at around 6:20 a.m. local time (0120 GMT) in Dera Ismail Khan district, the sources told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.
The security forces engaged militants after reports of their presence in the area, the sources said.
The exchange of fire continued for about 20 to 25 minutes. During a subsequent search operation, security forces recovered four bodies of militants and seized eight motorcycles from the site, the sources said. ■
