ISLAMABAD, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Four terrorists were killed during an operation in northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the Pakistan army said on Thursday.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistan army, said the security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Lakki Marwat district of the province.
During the operation, intense exchange of fire took place between security forces and terrorists, the ISPR said, adding that four terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire.
The killed terrorists were actively involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area, and a large quantity of weapons, ammunition and explosives have also been recovered, it added. ■
