MIES, Switzerland, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) announced Friday the pools of the 2026 3x3 Champions Cup, the second edition of the event, for both men and women.
The tournament, which is slated on March 13-15 in Bangkok, Thailand, features Zone Cup winners, World Cup winners, Olympic gold medalists, highest-ranked teams in the world rankings and the host nation.
Defending champion Serbia returns along with the Netherlands and Australia, who finished second and third respectively in 2025 in the eight-team men's event.
The women's competition is led by Canada, Spain and Australia, podium finishers of last year.
This year's winners will secure direct qualification to the 2027 World Cup, the 2027 Champions Cup and the Cups-based Olympic Qualification Tournament in 2028.
