ALMATY, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Air Astana, Kazakhstan's flagship airline, plans to launch a new direct route between Astana and the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou starting June 2, the airline's press service said Tuesday.
The flights will operate twice a week -- on Tuesdays and Thursdays -- and will complement the existing Almaty-Guangzhou-Almaty service, which the airline launched in March 2025.
In addition to the Astana route, the airline will operate six flights per week to Guangzhou, alongside its regular services to Beijing, Shanghai and Urumqi.
Kazakhstan's Civil Aviation Committee said the new air link will help boost cooperation with China in trade, business and tourism. ■
