ISLAMABAD, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- At least ten people were killed and over 80 others injured in a blast which hit a mosque in Pakistan's capital of Islamabad on Friday, police officials said.
The explosion occurred in the Shia mosque situated in the Shehzad Town area of Islamabad, according to the police officials in the area.
Police and rescue teams have been dispatched to the site, said the police, adding that a state of emergency has been imposed in all the major hospitals of the capital.
No group has claimed responsibilities for the attack yet. ■
