YANGON, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and 26 others injured in a road accident in Hlegu township, Yangon region on Tuesday morning, local police said.
The accident occurred at around 7:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday on No. 2 Main Road in Hlegu township when a truck carrying factory workers lost control, veered into the opposite lane, and collided with a minibus, police said.
The driver of the truck and three female passengers on board the truck died, the police official said.
The driver and one female died on the spot, while the other two women later died in the hospital, an official from a local rescue organization involved in transporting the deceased and injured said.
Among the injured, 10 are in serious condition, he added. ■
