YAOUNDE, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- President of the Central African Republic Faustin-Archange Touadera has extended warm wishes to the Chinese people on the occasion of the Chinese New Year, also known as Spring Festival.
In a video published on Monday, Touadera wished Chinese people success and progress.
"I extend my sincere festive greetings to the friendly Chinese people, wishing China prosperity and its people happiness and well-being. I wish China continued success and new achievements in the new year," Touadera said.
Touadera praised the cooperation between the Central African Republic and China. "We use this opportunity to testify about this dynamic cooperation which has allowed the Central African Republic to construct many infrastructures in different domains," he added.
According to the Chinese lunar calendar, the Year of the Horse will begin on Feb. 17. ■
