KABUL, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Four people, all members of the same family, were killed as the roof of a house collapsed in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province on Saturday, a local official said.
The official, Abdul Salam Omar, said the deadly incident took place in Daman district in the early hours of Saturday, killing three children and an elderly man. He provided no further details.
This is the second incident of its kind since Thursday.
Earlier, a similar incident claimed seven lives and injured another person in Jalalabad city, the capital of eastern Nangarhar province, on Thursday morning. ■
