GAZA, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- Two Palestinians were killed by Israeli forces on Thursday near a sensitive ceasefire boundary in the southern Gaza Strip, Palestinian medical sources said.
Medical staff at Nasser Medical Complex in Khan Younis told Xinhua the hospital received the bodies of two people shot near the so-called "Yellow Line," a demarcation marking Israeli-held territory under the first phase of the current ceasefire.
Palestine's official news agency WAFA said the victims, both civilians aged 19 and 32, were shot in the eastern neighborhood of Khan Younis.
The Israeli army has not commented on the incident.
Gaza health authorities said Wednesday that 492 Palestinians have been killed and 1,356 wounded by Israeli fire since the ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, bringing the total death toll since October 2023 to 71,667, with 171,434 others wounded. ■
