NEW DELHI, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The black box of the aircraft which had crashed on Wednesday killing Ajit Pawar, deputy chief minister of India's south-western state Maharashtra, had been recovered, confirmed the federal civil aviation ministry on Thursday.
In an official statement, the ministry said that the investigation into the air crash had been initiated. Besides Pawar, two pilots, a flight attendant and Pawar's personal security guard were also killed in the air crash.
A team of three officers from the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) and another team of three officers from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation had reached the crash site a few hours after the air crash. ■
