JAKARTA, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- The Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) temporarily halted trading on Wednesday after the Composite Stock Price Index fell by 8 percent.
According to an IDX press release, trading halted at 13:43:13 Jakarta Automated Trading System (JATS) time and would resume at 14:13:13 JATS time without any change to the trading schedule.
The exchange said the temporary trading halt was implemented to maintain orderly, fair and efficient stock trading. ■
