SEOUL, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- A Seoul court will deliver its first-instance verdict on Wednesday in the case of Kim Keon-hee, wife of the impeached former South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol, on charges including stock price manipulation and bribery.

The Seoul Central District Court is set to hand down its ruling at 2:10 p.m. local time, which will be broadcast live on television and streamed online, marking the first live court broadcast of a verdict involving a former first lady in South Korea.

If Kim is found guilty and sentenced to prison, it would be the first time that both members of a former presidential couple have been handed jail terms, following the recent five-year prison sentence imposed on Yoon for obstructing an attempt to arrest him.

The special counsel team has sought a combined prison term of 15 years for Kim on charges that include involvement in a stock-price manipulation scheme and accepting luxury gifts from the Unification Church.
