KIEV, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- Russia launched a large-scale drone attack on the southern Ukrainian city of Odesa and its surrounding areas on Tuesday, injuring at least 23 people, said regional Governor Oleh Kiper.
In a post on Telegram, Kiper said more than 50 combat drones attacked the Odesa region overnight, damaging dozens of buildings and many vehicles.
Nine of the injured were hospitalized, with one in critical condition.
The State Service for Emergencies said three people may still be trapped under the ruins, while search and rescue at the strike sites continue. ■
