KABUL, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- Security personnel have discovered and confiscated 84 pieces of arms during a series of operations in eastern Afghanistan's Paktia province, said a statement of the provincial police office on Wednesday.
Aimed at stabilizing security in the province, the arms have been recovered from the provincial capital Gardez and adjoining districts, the statement said.
All the confiscated arms were handed over to the concerned body recently in the province, the statement said. ■
