YANGON, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- A total of 1,735 people were killed and 4,676 others injured in 3,348 road accidents across Myanmar in 2025, according to the Road Transport Administration Department (RTAD) on Tuesday.
The figures declined from 2024, when 2,011 people were killed and 5,576 others injured in 3,875 road accidents, the RTAD's data showed.
In 2025, the Yangon region recorded the highest number of road accident fatalities at 387 deaths, the data showed. ■
