GENEVA, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) announced Tuesday the approval of the preliminary FIS World Cup calendar for 2026-27 in Alpine skiing, cross-country, Nordic combined and ski jumping.

The women's ski jumping will, for the first time, include the Four Hills tournament, which FIS described as "a true milestone in the history of gender equality in snow sports".

The 21st edition of the FIS Tour de Ski will feature the cross-country skiers to venture into three countries over the course of over one week, going from Les Rousses of France to Oberstdorf of Germany and finally to the Alpe Cermis climb in Val di Fiemme of Italy.

The final calendars for all FIS disciplines, including the ones from freestyle, freeski, and snowboard, will be confirmed by the Council by spring 2026.
