In the northern Kunduz province, a major road project costing 136 million afghanis was completed to ease traffic and support economic activities. A 56-million-afghani commercial center was inaugurated in Sar-e-Pul province to expand business space and create jobs, the report said.

Meanwhile, seven municipal development projects worth 36 million afghanis were carried out in Helmand province, improving roads, bridges and pedestrian pathways. In Kandahar, a school built at a cost of 7.2 million afghanis was completed to enhance local educational facilities.

The projects form part of nationwide development plans focusing on infrastructure, education and economic growth. (1 afghani equals 0.015 U.S. dollars)
