Brunei Prime Minister's Office highlights Vision 2035 progress

BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Jan. 14 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's development progress under Brunei Vision 2035, along with manpower and employment initiatives, was highlighted by Brunei's Prime Minister's Office (PMO) during a dialogue session with members of the Legislative Council on Tuesday near the capital.

According to a press release issued by the office on Tuesday, the dialogue also touched on matters related to security and legal affairs, public service governance, the media, and the energy sector.

The session provided an overview of current achievements, strategic initiatives, and continuous improvement measures aimed at safeguarding the well-being of the people and ensuring the nation's prosperity, inclusively and sustainably.

With regard to Brunei Vision 2035, the current achievements, reflected through the Aspirational Indicators, showed encouraging progress. The importance of inclusive engagement and sustained collaboration through a whole-of-government and whole-of-nation approach was also underscored to ensure that its implementation delivers sustainable and inclusive tangible impacts to economic development and the people.

Updates were also shared on manpower and employment development, where unemployment is addressed through the provision of job opportunities for citizens as a result of program implementation, particularly in skills enhancement and employability.
