BEIJING, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 jolted Kuril Islands at 0734 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 50.0 km, was initially determined to be at 44.60 degrees north latitude and 149.16 degrees east longitude. ■
