KIEV, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday submitted bills to the parliament proposing the extension of the country's current martial law and mobilization, the parliament's press service reported.
If approved, both measures would be extended for an additional 90 days, until May 4.
Lawmaker Yaroslav Zheleznyak said parliament is expected to consider the bills later this week.
The martial law and general mobilization have been extended multiple times since they were first introduced in February 2022 in response to the ongoing conflict with Russia. ■
