Ling Jihe, a rural entrepreneur in Anyi County, distributed year-end bonuses totaling 21.29 million yuan (about 3.05 million U.S. dollars) to his team on Friday, extending his 15-year tradition of rewarding outstanding farmers.
Since founding an agricultural company in 2010, Ling has been hiring local farmers to cultivate land under the company's management. Farmers receive a basic monthly salary in advance, with year-end bonuses tied to annual output performance.
