GENEVA, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- The Association of Summer Olympic International Federations published its Strategy 2026-2032 on Thursday, aiming to support member federations and strengthen the collective influence of international federations across the Olympic and sports movement.
The strategy sets out three core pillars: advocacy, influence and representation; Olympic Games excellence; and collaboration and knowledge sharing.
ASOIF president Ingmar De Vos, who has been in office for a year, said the plan turns "three clear strategic pillars into actionable, achievable and measurable initiatives," adding that it is designed to ensure ASOIF is ready "to walk the talk."
"With a roadmap extending to 2032, aligned with the Olympic cycle, we are anticipating an evolving governance and operational landscape while remaining firmly guided by our core principles of member focus, collective value, clarity, transparency and future readiness," De Vos said.
Initial progress on the strategy will be reviewed by the ASOIF Council at its next meeting on March 3 and at the 50th General Assembly on May 25 in Baku. ■
