RIYADH, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammed Al-Jaber said Thursday that he had met here with a delegation from the Southern Transitional Council.
In a statement posted on X, Al-Jaber said the two sides discussed the moves carried out by the Council at the direction of its leader, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, which have harmed the Southern cause instead of serving it and undermined unity in confronting enemies.
He added that both sides also reviewed future efforts to address the recent developments in a way that serves the Southern cause and supports the coalition's efforts to achieve security and stability in Yemen. They also discussed arrangements for the Southern Cause Conference, scheduled to be held in Riyadh in the near future. ■
