DHAKA, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Bangladesh's national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines is all set to resume direct flights from Pakistan's Karachi to Bangladesh's capital Dhaka later this month, said a spokesperson for the airlines on Wednesday.
Bushra Islam, a senior official with Biman Bangladesh Airlines, told Xinhua that the airline would resume the service on Jan. 29, with two weekly flights on Thursdays and Saturdays.
"We're resuming direct flights between Bangladesh and Pakistan after more than 10 years," she added.
Biman officials said they had been in talks with Pakistan for several months to restart this service. ■
