NEW DELHI, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- At least two persons were killed and several others trapped when a stone quarry collapsed in Dhenkanal district of India's eastern state of Odisha, the local police said on Sunday.
The stone quarry collapsed following a huge internal blast, leaving many workers trapped.
Workers at the stone quarry were engaged in drilling and exploring of stones when the incident happened.
Rescue work was being carried out to find those trapped inside the stone quarry, which was reportedly operating without proper licenses. ■
