NEW DELHI, Dec. 30 (Xinhua) -- India's factory activity growth, determined by the Index of Industrial Production (IIP), grew 6.7 percent in November, according to the latest government data.
The IIP growth rate for November is 6.7 percent compared with a quick estimate of 0.4 percent in October, reads the data issued by the federal Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation on Monday.
The ministry stated that the surge in industrial output was driven by an 8-percent growth in the manufacturing sector.
The growth rates of the three sectors, mining, manufacturing and electricity, for November are 5.4 percent, 8 percent and minus 1.5 percent, respectively, data from the ministry showed. ■
