BAGHDAD, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- Iraqi experts have said that China's development philosophy, characterized by high-quality growth and a people-centered approach, provides a blueprint for modernization, offering a clear path for Iraq to address economic challenges and achieve development.

"China has managed to develop its economy both quantitatively and qualitatively, which greatly impresses the world," Hussein Miqdad, professor of economics at Al-Iraqia University, said in a recent interview with Xinhua.

China's success largely stems from its adherence to scientific principles, along with its focus on innovation and high-quality development, Miqdad added.

"We see modern and environmental-friendly Chinese cars and high-quality products exporting to more and more countries, including Iraq," the professor noted, stressing that the Belt and Road Initiative, proposed by China in 2013, enables participating countries to benefit directly from China's development expertise.

Over the years, Chinese enterprises have been deeply involved in the development of various sectors in Iraq, including energy, power, transportation, and other infrastructure.

What also inspires Miqdad is the people-centered approach. In his view, this approach is most vividly reflected in China's historic victory in eradicating absolute poverty.

For Iraqi political researcher Nadhum Ali Abdullah, China presents a new modernization model focused on partnership and mutually beneficial cooperation, which is totally different from the exploitative approach of "the Western powers."

China is a "trusted partner" for developing nations that seek political stability and independence and a stabilizing force in the Middle East, Abdullah said.

According to the researcher, China collaborates with regional countries to promote political and economic stability, contributes to reconstruction in ways that serve shared objectives, and is committed to building partnerships that enhance international security and peace.

China has proven the viability of its development philosophy, and its success offers Iraq a valuable reference for building a strong and sustainable economy, said Yasir Mutlag al-Jiboury, head of Iraq's Fawasil Foundation for Research and Studies.
