KABUL, Dec. 27 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's National Statistics and Information Authority (NSIA) reported on Saturday that a total of 2,498 foreign nationals traveled through the country's airports and land border crossings over the past month.
About 1,320 foreign nationals entered Afghanistan, while 1,178 others departed the country during the same period, the report said.
According to the NSIA, most foreign arrivals entered Afghanistan through the border crossings of Nimroz, Herat and Aqina. Some visitors traveled to the country for tourism, while others arrived for work-related purposes.
The figures indicate continued cross-border movement through Afghanistan's major air and land ports, the report added. ■
