HANOI, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's digital technology industry is estimated to contribute more than 1 quadrillion Vietnamese dong (about 41 billion U.S. dollars) to the country's gross domestic product in 2025, local daily VnEconomy reported Monday, citing the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The total revenue of the industry this year is projected at 198 billion U.S. dollars, up 26 percent from 2024 and 16 percent higher than the annual target, the report said.

Exports of hardware and electronic products are estimated at 178 billion dollars, posting a strong growth of 35 percent compared with 2024 and fulfilling 112 percent of the annual plan, maintaining their position as one of the country's key export pillars.
