YANGON, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Myanmar police have seized over 57 kg of heroin and over 5 million stimulant tablets in Myanmar's Sagaing region, the state-owned daily Myanma Alinn reported on Wednesday.
According to the report, anti-narcotics police raided a house on Dec. 6 in Sagaing township, confiscating 18.315 kg of heroin and arresting two suspects.
Further searches in the same compound led to the seizure of an additional 39.6 kg of heroin and 5.07 million stimulant tablets, as well as the arrest of four more suspects, it said.
In total, six suspects were arrested in connection with the case and have been charged under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law, with further investigations still ongoing. ■
