HANOI, Dec. 17 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's capital Hanoi will prioritize attracting international visitors with longer stays and higher spending levels, Vietnam News Agency quoted Tran Trung Hieu, deputy director of Hanoi's Department of Tourism, as saying on Wednesday.
The city's tourism sector will also step up the development of distinctive tourism products and study the creation of souvenir products imbued with strong local identity and high economic value, he said.
Hanoi is estimated to receive more than 7.82 million international arrivals in 2025, up 22.76 percent year on year, local daily Dau Tu reported.
The city aims to attract over 8.6 million international arrivals in 2026. ■
