RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Cruzeiro has parted ways with manager Leonardo Jardim after less than a year in the job, the Brazilian top-flight club said on Monday.
The announcement came a day after Cruzeiro lost to Corinthians on penalties in the Copa do Brasil semifinals.
"We are grateful for his dedication, commitment and professionalism throughout the year," the Belo Horizonte-based club said in a statement.
Jardim guided Cruzeiro to 26 wins, 18 draws and 12 defeats after taking charge of the club in February.
Cruzeiro finished third in Brazil's 20-team Serie A standings in 2025, nine points behind champion Flamengo. ■
