BANGKOK, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- The Pheu Thai Party of Thailand announced three prime ministerial candidates on Tuesday, namely Yodchanan Wongsawat, Suriya Juangroongruangkit, and Julapun Amornvivat.
According to the resumes released by the Pheu Thai Party, Yodchanan is a professor at Mahidol University and also serves as the university's vice president for research.
Suriya is the Pheu Thai Party's election director and a former deputy prime minister who has held multiple ministerial positions.
Julapun is currently the leader of the Pheu Thai Party. He previously served as the country's deputy finance minister.
The Election Commission of Thailand announced on Monday that the election for the new House of Representatives is scheduled for Feb. 8, 2026. All political parties must submit their prime ministerial candidates between Dec. 28 and 31. ■
