ULAN BATOR, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia's inflation, as measured by the consumer price index, eased to 8.2 percent in November, data from the country's National Statistics Office (NSO) showed Monday.
The figure reflected a 0.8 percentage point increase compared to the same period last year and a 0.6 percentage point rise from the previous month, the NSO said.
Mongolia's central bank targeted an inflation rate within a range of 6 percent (+/- 2.0 percentage points) from 2027 to support macroeconomic and financial sector stability in the medium term.
The landlocked country's economy grew 5.9 percent year on year in the third quarter of 2025, according to the statistical agency.
Meanwhile, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has predicted that Mongolia's economy is expected to grow at 5.7 percent in both 2025 and 2026.
According to the ADB, Mongolia's economic growth is expected to be driven this year by a recovery in livestock numbers and ramp-up of the Oyu Tolgoi underground mine. ■
