LIMA, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Veteran goalkeeper Pedro Gallese has been named in Peru's squad for its end-of-year friendly against Bolivia, the Peruvian Football Federation said on Sunday.
The 35-year-old, who is without a club after parting ways with Orlando City in October, was among 25 players called up by interim manager Gerardo Ameli.
Next Sunday's clash in the Peruvian port city of Chincha will feature mainly domestic league players as it falls outside FIFA's international window and clubs are not obliged to release them.
The squad includes several uncapped names, including forwards Bassco Soyer and Juan Pablo Goicochea, and midfielder Alfonso Barco.
Peru missed a place at next year's FIFA World Cup while Bolivia secured an intercontinental playoff berth as it seeks its first appearance in football's showpiece event since 1994. ■
