BISHKEK, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyzstan's gross domestic product (GDP) rose 10.2 percent year on year in the first 11 months of this year, reaching about 1,628.6 billion soms (18.6 billion U.S. dollars), showed preliminary estimates released by the National Statistical Committee on Monday.

The GDP growth was mainly driven by the expansion in the sectors of commodity production, services, and net taxes on products. During the January-November period, commodity production grew by 12 percent year on year, services by 8.9 percent, and net taxes on products by 10.5 percent.

Notably, the services industry accounted for 49.3 percent of the total GDP during the cited period.

Statistics also showed that during the period from January to October, the Central Asian country's foreign and mutual trade volume totaled 12.8035 billion U.S. dollars, a decrease of 10.6 percent compared to the same period last year. Exports fell by 38.2 percent, and imports by 0.3 percent.
