SYDNEY, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- At least ten people have been killed in a mass shooting at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Sunday, local media reported.
Police confirmed that there were multiple fatalities, and two people are in custody.
Many members of the Jewish community had assembled at the beach to celebrate Hanukkah, the Jewish holiday of Lights, earlier in the evening.
At least 16 people had been taken to the hospital, and more were being treated at the scene, according to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. ■
