HANOI, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam has disciplined 40 officials in leadership and deputy leadership positions in 2025 for their irresponsibility in preventing corruption, local daily Dan Tri reported, citing a government report submitted to the National Assembly on Tuesday.
The report showed that 14 officials received reprimands, eight were issued warnings, and 18 were removed from their posts.
In 2025, Vietnam handled 1,363 corruption-related cases involving 3,187 suspects, with estimated losses exceeding 3.8 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 151 million U.S. dollars), the report said. ■
