HANOI, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- A Russian national was killed on Monday morning when a falling boulder from a construction truck pierced a passenger van traveling on a highway in Vietnam's central province of Lam Dong, the Vietnam News Agency reported.
The rock crashed through the windshield of the van carrying 11 foreign tourists along National Highway 28B, which is undergoing major upgrades with heavy traffic of material trucks.
The Russian tourist, born in 1968, was killed, while another passenger was injured, whose identity has yet to be confirmed.
Authorities are investigating the case. ■
